Greetings! My name is Rob, and this blog will serve as a vehicle for my thinking about a variety of topics, including books, films, philosophy, science, current events, and more.
I am a 52-year-old husband, father of two, and high school English teacher from the Midwestern United States. I enjoy teaching a variety of subjects, including composition, creative writing, and literature courses. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching TV and films, and playing chess and video games with my friends.
In the course of teaching writing to high schoolers for more than two decades, I've learned the connection between good thinking and good writing. So this blog is an opportunity for me to refine my thoughts and reflections on the world.
